Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 September 2026

This policy explains how FAID LTD collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use our website or get in touch with us. We take your privacy seriously and only collect what we genuinely need.

We are the "data controller" for the information you provide, which means we decide how and why it is used. We process personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

02 What information we collect

We only collect personal data that you choose to give us, plus a small amount of technical data needed to run the site securely.

Information you give us

When you submit our consultation / booking form, we collect:

When you join our waiting list, we collect only your email address.

Information we collect automatically

Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical data for security and reliability — such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. This is standard server-log data and is not used to personally identify or profile you.

Businesses we research for outreach

As part of our own marketing, we research local businesses that may benefit from our services and sometimes contact them to introduce ourselves. For this we collect only publicly available information about businesses — from sources such as a business's own website, its public social-media profiles, Google Business listings and public directories. This may include:

We only gather information that is already public and relates to a business. We do not buy marketing lists, and we do not collect private or sensitive personal data this way. If we contact you and you'd prefer we didn't, just tell us and we'll stop and delete your details (see Your rights).

Calls, texts and voicemail on our business number

If you call or text our business phone number, we process:

We do not record telephone conversations. The only audio we keep is a voicemail you have chosen to leave after hearing our recorded greeting. Voicemails and transcripts are readable only by Fin and his business partner, through a password-and-2FA-protected system; recordings are never published, shared, or made available by a public link.

We use this to return your call, answer your question, and keep an accurate record of who has contacted us. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (running our business and responding to people who contact us) and, where you're enquiring about work, taking steps to enter a contract. If you'd rather not leave a recording, just hang up and text or email us instead.

03 How & why we use your information

We use the information you give us to:

We will never sell your data, and we won't send you unrelated marketing without your consent.

04 Our lawful basis for using your data

Under UK GDPR we must have a valid legal reason ("lawful basis") to process your data. Depending on the situation, we rely on:

05 Who we share your information with

We don't sell or rent your data. We do use a small number of trusted third-party providers ("data processors") to run the site and respond to you. Each only handles data on our instructions:

Netlify
Website hosting & secure storage of form submissions
Resend
Sending confirmation & notification emails
Google Fonts
Serving the website's fonts (receives your IP as part of the request)
Whereby (Norway)
Powering the video meetings you join via our meeting links — the name you enter and your audio/video are processed only to run the call (see Whereby's privacy policy)
Meta Platforms Ireland
The Meta Pixel on our homepage — only if you accept cookies — so we can measure whether our Facebook and Instagram ads bring people here and show our ads to people who have visited (see Meta's privacy policy)
Twilio
Running our business phone number — connecting calls and texts, and storing any voicemail you leave plus its automated transcript (see Twilio's privacy notice)

We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect our legal rights.

06 International data transfers

Some of our providers (such as Netlify, Resend, Twilio and Meta) are based in the United States, so your data may be transferred and stored outside the UK. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or equivalent Standard Contractual Clauses — so your data receives the same level of protection as it would in the UK.

07 How long we keep your information

We keep your data only as long as we need it:

Our telephone provider, Twilio, handles the message on its way to and from you. We remove the content of your texts from their systems about a week after they reach ours, keeping only the record that a message was sent and when. Voicemail recordings are deleted from them at 90 days. Deleting your data with us includes asking them to remove anything that remains.

You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time (see Your rights).

08 Cookies & tracking

This website uses one advertising tool: the Meta Pixel, and only on our homepage. It is switched off until you accept it in the cookie banner. If you decline, or never answer, nothing is set and nothing is sent to Meta.

If you accept, the Pixel places a cookie in your browser and tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) that you visited our site and, if you send our consultation form, that you enquired. We use that to:

We have turned off the Pixel's automatic data collection: it reports only the two events above (a page view and an enquiry), not what you click or type. We do not run Google Analytics or any other analytics or profiling tool, and we do not track you across other websites ourselves. Meta acts as an independent controller for what it does with the data it receives; its privacy policy explains that, and your Facebook and Instagram ad settings let you control it.

Changing your mind: choose Cookies in the footer of our homepage to reopen the banner and change your answer. Declining after a previous accept stops the Pixel from the next page you load; you can also clear your browser's cookies for this site.

Beyond that, only strictly necessary technical data (such as standard server logs, and a browser setting that remembers your cookie choice and whether you have seen our intro) is processed to keep the site secure and working. These do not need consent.

Legal basis for the Pixel: your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and PECR regulation 6). You can withdraw it at any time as described above.

09 How we protect your information

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep your data safe, including:

No method of transmission over the internet is ever 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your data and review our measures regularly.

10 Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, email fin@faidagency.com. We'll respond within one month, and it's free of charge.

11 Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):
